6. What exactly is CPE Monitor and why do I need it?
CPE Monitor is a new tool developed by the National Association of Board of Pharmacies to help you keep all of your ACPE-accredited CPE in one place.

CPE Monitor, through the collaborative efforts of NABP, the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and ACPE providers, allows you to electronically keep track of CPE credits from ACPE-accredited providers. To view and track these credits, you must first set up an NABP e-Profile, obtain your NABP e-Profile ID, and register for CPE Monitor. You may do so by clicking on the "Log in to Your e-Profile to Access CPE Monitor" link below. ACPE-accredited providers will ask for your e-Profile ID and your date of birth in order to properly record your CPE credits through the system.

As an ACPE-accredited provider, CSHP is required to ask for your NABP information in order to report your credit. Because we upload all of your credit directly to CPE Monitor, CSHP does not issue statements of credit. You may obtain a record of all CPE reported on your behalf from all providers, not just CSHP.

7. How to Claim CPE for a Live Presentation
If you are an active member of CSHP and you attended a continuing pharmacy education presentation accredited by us, you are entitled to claim the CPE for that course.

To claim CPE, follow these steps:
1. Log in to your training portal account
2. If you do not have an account, simply create one by clicking on

3. Enter your information including your NABP eProfile ID for CPE Monitor. For additional information on CPE Monitor, please see What exactly is CPE Monitor and why do I need it?
4. Once you have created your account/logged in, click on Add Live Event.
5. Enter the secret code you were given at the live event and click Validate Code.
6. Under Evaluation Statement, choose Fill Out and complete the evaluation for the session.
7. Confirm the information and click Save Changes.
8. Repeat the process for each session you attended. The credit will be uploaded directly to your CPE Monitor account and reported to the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy.

8. My license is up for renewal. How can I see how much CPE has been reported to the NABP on my behalf?
Since January 1, 2013 the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy has required that all ACPE-accredited continuing pharmacy education be reported directly to CPE Monitor. This is why CSHP asks you for your NABP ID and birthday.

What this means for you is that all credit from all APCE providers is in one place for your review.

Follow these steps to review credit reported on your behalf:
1. Log into your CPE Monitor account .
2. If you have forgotten your user name or password, use the links to assist you. Your user name is usually the email address you used to sign up for an account. CSHP does not have access to your user name or password.
3. Once you have logged in, select CPE Monitor from the menu on the left.
4. Select a date range using the Search by Activity Date function. Remember to start with the earlier date first.
5. Once you have selected the dates, you may print a transcript of the credit or export it to Excel.
6. This credit has been reported to the Board of Pharmacy on your behalf and therefore does not require additional certificates of credit.

9. How to Claim CPE for a Journal Article/Webinar
Each issue of the California Journal of Health-System Pharmacy includes at least one hour of CPE.

To claim CPE for an article you have read, follow these steps:
1. Log in to your training portal account. 2. If you do not have an account, simply create one by clicking on

3. Enter your information including your NABP eProfile ID for CPE Monitor. For additional information on CPE Monitor, please see What exactly is CPE Monitor and why do I need it?
4. Once you have created your account/logged in, click on Search Training.
5. Type a few words of the title to help you find the article.
6. Select the article of your choice.
7. You may read it on the screen (if you have not already done so) or download it to print and read.
8. Once you have finished reading it, answer the multiple choice exam at the end and complete the evaluation of the article.

The credit will be uploaded directly to your CPE Monitor account and reported to the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy.

10. Why doesn't CSHP offer CPE certificates anymore?

As an ACPE-accredited provider, CSHP is required to upload all credit directly to CPE Monitor. Your CPE Monitor profile is the only official record of CPE which has been credited to your account. For this reason, CSHP no longer offers official credit certificates.

To review your credit, log into your CPE Monitor account.

Once you have logged in, click on CPE Monitor in the Dashboard. You may then select a date range and view all of the credit submitted on your behalf from all ACPE-accredited providers including CSHP.
