CSHP is comprised of 25 affiliated chapters (17 regional chapters and 8 student chapters). Each affiliated chapter is independently incorporated as a tax-exempt, nonprofit mutual benefit corporation pursuant to California law. Additionally, each affiliated chapter has Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws that were approved by the CSHP Board of Directors.
In order to maintain uniformity among the affiliated chapters, each chapter has legal, fiscal, representation, and operational responsibilities to the Society. These responsibilities to the Society, as well as CSHP's responsibilities to the affiliated chapters are outlined in the Regional Chapter Affiliation Agreement 
and the Student Chapter Affiliation Agreement .
CSHP Headquarters provides information webinars to assist affiliate chapters in their duties.
