Pharmacy Professionals of California PAC

Founded by the CSHP Board of Directors in January 2009, the PPC-PAC is a bipartisan committee that supports candidates and legislators at the state level who understand the challenges of practicing as a pharmacist in California. The Pharmacy Professionals of California Political Action Committee (PPC-PAC) was formed to represent your interests in Sacramento and help to establish vital relationships with aspiring and existing California elected officials. To contribute, please use the PPC-PAC Contribution Pledge Form.
What is the PPC-PAC?
CSHP's Government Advocacy Program
A successful government advocacy program depends greatly upon an integrated approach consisting of the following:
- Government affairs team.
- An extensive statewide grassroots advocacy network of individuals in the pharmacy industry.
- The PPC-PAC, which provides financial campaign contributions to aspiring and current elected officials who are committed to patient safety and medication management.
The Role of the PPC-PAC
The PPC-PAC exists to elect, educate and build rapport with elected leaders and officials who understand the important role pharmacists and their associates play in our state. The PPC-PAC solicits contributions from concerned individuals, chapters, and companies across the state, and distributes those funds to officeholders and candidates for state offices.
Who Decides How Funds Are Spent
The PPC-PAC Board of Directors governs the activities and funds of the PPC-PAC. This board determines which candidates will receive funds based on that individual's qualifications, knowledge, sensitivity, and responsiveness to the issues surrounding health care, medication management, patient safety, and CSHP positions.
PPC-PAC Board of Directors
- President Nancy Korman
- President-elect Maria Serpa
- Secretary Dawn Benton
- Treasurer J. Richard Eichman

Why Contribute to the PPC-PAC
On average, a campaign to win a seat in the Capitol can cost $300,000. With your donation to the PPC-PAC, CSHP can ensure that potential and current elected officials are educated about the vital role pharmacists play in the healthcare arena!
Your contribution sends a message to policymakers that California's pharmacy community is united, and provides an opportunity to positively impact the election of candidates who recognize and support pharmacists' important role in society.
Annual Fundraising Goal
The PPC-PAC Board established an annual statewide goal to raise $50,000.
