The Skaggs School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences (SSPPS) in the Division of Clinical Pharmacy at UC San Diego ( is seeking outstanding applicants for a position at either the Assistant or Associate Professor Levels. The applicant should have clinical and/or research expertise that complements or expands the current programs of SSPPS and advances our mission of elevating pharmaceutical care, health outcomes, and pharmacy training. Desired expertise includes but is not limited to the following clinical areas: geriatrics, pediatrics, oncology, psychiatry, family medicine, or administrative sciences related to regulatory affairs, pharmacoeconomics or outcomes research. The successful candidate will be expected to teach both students and residents at the didactic and experiential levels. The candidate will also engage in related clinical practice and scholarly activities. Applicants must have a Pharm.D. Degree, should have completed postgraduate training (e.g. PhD), residency or fellowship, have experience in clinical service and teaching, have promise for academic advancement, and be eligible for California pharmacy licensure. Board certification in a specialty area is desirable. Strong clinical service, leadership and teaching experience are highly valued. High priority in selection will also be given to candidates with formal research training or have equivalent experience with an outstanding record of scholarly achievement, demonstrated by publications, grant funding, and other creative accomplishments.

SSPPS accepts only post-baccalaureate students, has a joint curriculum with the UC San Diego School of Medicine, and is competitive nationally for the top tier of pharmacy school applicants. Current enrollment is 240 Pharm.D. students, 60 Ph.D. students, 23 pharmacy residents and three fellows.
