Responsible for reviewing CSHP governing documents and making recommendations to the Board of Directors for amendments, deletions and additions to enhance clarity.

The BRC is an elected/appointed committee and is not available currently for volunteering.

The Canvassing Committee consists of one CSHP member appointed by the CSHP President-elect who obtains, counts and documents all votes cast for CSHP Board of Directors and ASHP Delegates, manually and electronically, reporting said results to CSHP's CEO. Also has the duty to maintain all election results confidentially and in accordance with CSHP records retention policy.

The duty of the Committee shall be to nominate the candidates for the offices of President-elect, Treasurer, Board of Directors, Chairperson of the House of Delegates, and Delegates to the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) House of Delegates, per CSHP Bylaws Article VIII, Section 12.

The CPE Committee is tasked with bringing quality continuing pharmacy education to our members. From topic selection based on member feedback to faculty recruitment to presentation review, the CPE Committee brings not only the Seminar educational programming to life, but also identifies and reviews additional educational opportunities throughout the year.

Reviews and recommends relevant professional policies from other organizations for acceptance by the House of Delegates (HOD) for consideration; receives documentation with recommendations from CPhA HOD for inclusion of pertinent policies; reviews ASHP policies as directed by the BOD throughout the year.

The Editorial Advisory Board is the group of volunteers who help plan the content of the California Journal of Health-System Pharmacy. The EAB develops content ideas, reviews submitted manuscripts for publication, encourages manuscript submissions, and provides feedback to CSHP on the direction the Journal should take.

Recommends the positions and priorities for legislative action on bills before the state legislature that are of interest to CSHP and impact the practice of pharmacy. CSHP’s Government Affairs Committee plays a central role in advancing the profession of pharmacy in California and relies on volunteers like you to make it happen.

Healthcare is a constantly evolving landscape. CSHP’s Committee on Healthcare Reform was formed to help chart a path to a future where pharmacists are integrated into every part of the care continuum. The HRC educates members regarding healthcare reform; publishes demonstrated value of the role of pharmacists in healthcare delivery; administers the Innovative Pharmacy Practice Award (IPPA).

The Member Recognition Committee (MRC) is responsible for administering the following award programs: Practitioner Recognition Program (Fellows), Student Leadership in Health-System Practice, Student Chapter Community Service Project Award. The MRC is the combination of the previously known Practitioner Recognition Program and the Public Relations Committee prior to 2018.

The Membership Committee is tasked with doing what we know best: serving our members. They provide oversight to CSHP’s member recruitment campaign and assure that the personal touch for membership retention is continued.

Additionally, the Membership Committee is responsible for administering the Hospital Champion Program and the Affiliate Chapter Volunteer of the Year Award.

The New Practitioner Executive Committee (NPEC) is made up of eight new practitioner members, ranging from first years to fifth year post-graduates. This team of knowledgeable and dedicated committee members aims to foster leadership, involvement and communication amongst CSHP’s New Practitioner members, as well as ensure that they have a voice on the CSHP Board of Directors.

The Opioid Stewardship Task Force advocates for the safe use of opiates; access to opiate related treatment; educate the public of the epidemic through campaigns and other resources and advise policy recommendations.

The Committee on Goals (COG) shall be an advisory body to the Board of Directors. It shall analyze studies, recommend broad goals for the profession of pharmacy and for the Society, and shall outline plans for achieving such goals.

The COG is an elected/appointed committee and is not available currently for volunteering.

The Pharmacy Technician Executive Leadership (PTEL) represents and promotes the interests of pharmacy technicians in the advancement of their profession through recruitment, marketing and outreach campaigns, promotion of membership benefits, and providing tools to achieve these objectives.

PTEL is an elected committee and is not available currently for volunteering.

This committee is tasked to select and recognize a Pharmacist of the Year (POY) & Distinguished Service Award (DSA) recipients for CSHP. The committee is comprised of past POY and DSA recipients of both award.

The Sterile Compounding Task Force develops and provides educational and compliance tools for adherence to state and federal sterile compounding standards, regulations, and laws.

The Student Section Executive Committee (SSEC) shall serve as a liaison between CSHP student members and the CSHP BOD. The Committee will express the interests of CSHP student members as well as promote student involvement within the Society. The SSEC shall foster communication between the student chapters and the faculty student liaisons.
