Helping to shape the fledgling discipline of clinical pharmacy shaped Kishi into a problem solver, a collaborator, and, unintentionally, into a leader who would quietly guide the School’s students, curricula, and research for half a century. For his dedication, scholarship, and leadership, the UCSF Pharmacy Alumni Association has named Donald Kishi the recipient of its 2017 Distinguished Alumnus of the Year Award.
CSHP CEO, Loriann DeMartini, Pharm.D., summed up many of our thoughts, “Don Kishi exemplifies the attributes of a great leader; humility, grace, intellect, and a passion to better the lives around him without a need to seek recognition. CSHP has and continues to be the beneficiary of Don’s leadership with his multiple roles within CSHP including but not limited to his term as a President (1986). We all owe a debt of gratitude to Don Kishi for his tireless commitment to guiding the evolution of our profession and most importantly serving the aspirational goal of improving the quality of medication use for our fellow brothers and sisters. Congratulations Don on your recognition as UCSF 2017 Distinguished Alumnus of the Year. You make all of us at CSHP proud!”
Again, CSHP wants to send its congratulations to Donald Kishi for this amazing honor and all he does the the pharmacy profession. To continue reading the full article please visit:
