Course Description: This course will review recent advances in artificial intelligence and discuss the potential implications for pharmacy practice in the near future.

Course Description: This session will be a discussion of government mandates that helped us go from 10% electronic health record (EHR) adoption rates ten years ago to essentially 100% EHR adoption now as well as some of the key elements of an EHR.

Pharmacogenomics Primer for Dummies: Learn Basic Pharmacogenomics in 60 minutes!

 

Course DescriptionAlthough pharmacogenomics is currently utilized at top research medical centers, a considerable number of pharmacists have not been trained in drug counseling based on pharmacogenomic test results.  Pharmacists without former knowledge or experience will be able to provide effective counseling after learning the essential basics including terminology, being directed to instrumental resources, and expanding their comprehension of pharmacogenomics.  A sample case will be followed, by a step by step approach, as well as a brief presentation on most essential terminology.  This session will also guide participants in navigating reliable internet resources.
