The California Journal of Health-System Pharmacy (CJHP) was originally created in 1989 to provide members with professional practice news, organizational news, legislative and regulatory news of importance to pharmacy, and news about drugs and drug technology. CJHP replaced previous communication vehicles such as Voice, Clout and the CSHP Newsletter. CJHP was previously designated as the official publication of CSHP and was committed to relevant contemporary pharmacy practice and to CSHP members. The Journal later evolved with particular focus on scientific/clinical-based articles, peer review, and continuing education through reading articles in each issue.
CJHP’s original purpose is now fulfilled by current technologies such as e-mail, social media, and webinars for continuing education. As a result, CJHP ceased operations as of the end of 2019 during its 30th anniversary. CSHP acknowledges and thanks the many members who’ve contributed immensely to its 30-year history including writers, peer reviewers and editorial advisory board members past and present. Past issues of CJHP will continue to be housed on the CSHP website and continuing education can still be claimed from 2019 issues until their designated expiration dates.
