Assistant Clinical Professor of Pharmacy Practice, Non-Tenure Track

The Department of Pharmacy Practice in the Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy seeks applicants for an Assistant Clinical Professor. This is a non-tenure track position with teaching, precepting, and service being the primary responsibilities. The faculty in this position will have a split 50/50 appointment for precepting clinical experiences at a designated off-campus practice site and teaching on-campus courses. The faculty in this position will precept advanced and introductory pharmacy practice experience (APPE and IPPE) courses at the designated practice site. The faculty will also teach in the case-based and pharmacy skills courses on-campus, in an accelerated Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) curriculum. In addition to required teaching and service, scholarly activity is highly recommended. Other faculty responsibilities will be assigned, as needed, at the discretion of the department Chair. The Non-Tenure Track role will be hired as an annual renewable contract.

A strong background in general pharmacotherapy and pharmacy practice is required. All internal medicine and ambulatory care clinical subspecialties will be considered. Candidates must have a Pharm.D. Postgraduate residency, fellowship, or equivalent practice experience is highly desirable. Candidates must have a valid California pharmacist license or are expected to be licensed by the hire date.
